QR Code for T&T Construction Management Blog
Technology has become very relevant in every industry. Each trying to create the next tool to help us with our Daily work loads. As QR codes began to appear on food ads business cards and posters we have all become familiar with their advertising aspects. Q.R codes are abbreviated from Quick Response Code — is the trademark for a type of matrix barcode(or two-dimensional code) first designed for the automotive industry. More recently, the system has become popular outside of the industry due to its fast readability and large storage capacity compared to traditional UPC barcode. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded can be made up of four standardized kinds ("modes") of data (numeric, alphanumeric, byte/binary, Kanji), or by supported extensions virtually any kind of data, per Wikipedia. So how can we take advantage of this technology in construction besides a means of advertisement? New York has initiated a program for their permit system. A code will be created for each permit and you will be able to scan the code and access information such as owner, value and all occurrences that have happened on the site. Any information that cannot be captured on the hard copy can be found by scanning the code. But do you think that this will help the city or hurt the contractor? What are your thoughts and would you like to see this system implemented here in Jacksonville?

We are currently working closely with our contact in the US NY for a prospect ( in Security - Construction Sector)to implement QR in the Operational area.
We are providing a QR based solution on CLOUD which will enable Site Managers ( with smartphones) for VERIFICATION, ACCESS and MARKing at the construction site.
I understand today in a large construction site -"right skilled workers" doing the "right job" is a key thing. Our soluion will enable QR code based solution helps to validate the credentials of the workers at any given moment . No need of hefty HHD just use a smartphone with internet and read the QR code ( on the Card, helmet of the construction worker). We are using some of our propreitory stuff in our complete solution to make it robust as well...
Thus you get to address niche area with really low cost!
